Karwar is closer to Goa and while it is 540 km from Bangalore, it remains a perfect holiday destination for the region as a whole.Devbagh is the most enchanting of the five islands along the Karwar coast. A must visit place 4 km into the Arabian sea off the Karwar coast, it is reachable by 20 minute motorboat ride.Eco-friendly rustic ambience ,breathtaking seascapes and dazzling sunsets welcomes you here. There are lots to do here including nature walk, fishing, dolphin spotting, snorkelling, speedboat cruises, banana boat rides, aqua sports, Para sailing and rock climbing. The resort has well appointed log huts on stilts which have attached baths and tented cottages –twin bedded, Swiss tents with attached baths. Off the coast of Karwar and visible from Devbagh are four other islands. Legend has it that a sage sought refuge in the Sanyasi island for penace.In spite of being totally isolated from the rest of humanity, he managed to survive and lived on to a ripe old age.

How to reach
Air: The nearest airport is Goa, 100 km away
Rail: The nearest railway station is Shirwad 2km away. As all trains doesn’t stop here you may alight at Madgaon in Goa or Ankola in Karnataka and then drive to Karwar
Road: Regular buses ply from Bangalore and from Goa
